Calculate Reorder Points

Solution The three fields below that are on the Calculate Order Points screen:

1. Number Of Months For Maximum On Hand: Enter the number of months for the maximum on hand for items in the selected category.

2. Number Of Months For Minimum On Hand: Enter the number of months for the minimum on hand for items in the selected category.

3. Number Of Months For Reorder Quantity: Enter the number of months for the reorder quantity for items in the selected category.

are the ones on the Item Edit screen (Add/Edit Pricing & Location).

It pulls these quantities for the number of months specified, instead of using them all the time.

For example, 3 in the "Number Of Months For Reorder Quantity" field will use the "Order Qty in (usage unit)" for 3 months from the Begin Sales Date.

The Calculate Order Points screen is strictly inputting the period of time (in months) you want the max on-hand, min on-hand or reorder quantity to be in effect. This screen does NOT indicate what the QUANTITY of those levels actually are. That is specified on the Item Edit Screen.
